Dear Participants,

Greetings from the SICEM 2025 Secretariat.

Acknowledging concerns about recent political events in the Republic of Korea, including martial law and the presidential impeachment,

the SICEM 2025 Scientific Committee assures all participants that preparations are on track, with no expected disruptions to the upcoming congress.

Fortunately, the president was impeached on December 14, 2024, over the martial law attempt. Due legal process is being strictly followed to address these issues (The Korean society already has experience in 2016, which took less than three months for the completion of the legal process). The rule of law and security in Korea remain robust and fully operational. We assure the stability and safety across the country.

SICEM 2025 will proceed as scheduled, ensuring participants can fully engage in academic activities and networking.
